An absolutely lovely read. You covered so much ground, and every bit of it was rich with truth. What lingers most for me is this: legacy itself is a grace gift and a sacred stewardship. We are invited to partner with God in every relationship He entrusts to us.

As we yield to His guidance, letting Him shape our words, our responses, and our rhythms each moment becomes intentional.

In this way no interaction is accidental. Every exchange becomes an opportunity to reflect Him and to share His heart with those we love. So so good🌟🙏🏾

This IS it, the essence of my being, “In this way no interaction is accidental. Every exchange becomes an opportunity to reflect Him and to share His heart with those we love.” You captured the post beautifully, Andrea! ♥️

You are a wordsmith. I love it.

An article that should be shared during pre-marital counseling and revisited throughout the marriage, before and after children are born. I’ve hidden His Word in my heart so that as I speak to my husband and daughter, when quoting a verse may not be the answer, His love colors my tongue so that truth is spoken with love and that is often enough to soften our hearts. I want my love for the Lord to be a lasting legacy for generations to come. Thank you both for sharing this beautiful piece.💕

Thank you, Cathy. I am so glad the article resonated with you. Brooke and I prayed it would as people read it.

This is absolutely inspiring! I read with eyes as a mom to two littles. So often I am far from perfect, but there is such opportunity in that (apologizing, continuing to show up, praying, etc).

Aw, we’re so happy you found our post inspiring, sweet Hannah! Thank you for reading and be encouraged!

Our legacies are not completed until we are gone. Because of Christ, we can start another page in the story. Bounce back is a part of legacy.

Ah, Brooke, this is so important for us parents to read. I absolutely adore how you write about your grandchildren and can just imagine that incredible bond you have. I feel challenged and inspired. Thank you from my heart.

Thank you, Tanya. We are so thrilled this post inspired you. Robert and I are crazy sentimental about our grandchildren. Your kind words warm our hearts in turn, sweet friend!

This is so rich and thoughtful. Such a beautiful reminder that legacy is not built in grand gestures but in faithful presence over time. Even when grandparents don’t share the daily rhythms of parenting, God gives sacred windows: a game, a bedtime prayer, a simple conversation, and uses them for eternal purposes. I was especially moved by the picture of grandchildren’s footprints beside Scripture and the reminder that faith is passed on through lived example, honest repentance, and steady trust in Christ.

So encouraging to remember that legacy is not perfection, but intentional faithfulness entrusted to God.

Thanks, friends!

This is such a steady, needed reminder — legacy isn’t something we start thinking about later. It’s already being shaped in the ordinary minutes.

I really appreciated the repeated thread that presence is discipleship — the car rides, the late-night questions, the inconvenient moments when a child finally opens up. And Robert’s honesty about repentance and “walking it out” in front of his kids was powerful. That kind of humility is a legacy.

Also, the framing that “silence is never neutral” landed hard — in the best way. Thank you both for calling families back to intentional, lived faith that feels practical, not performative.

Brooke and Robert, this piece was so well done. I so appreciated hearing both your perspectives -- varied tone but unified message. It was very effective. Storing these Biblical truths in my back pocket for another day. :)

What a beautiful article. I have been thinking a lot recently about the legacy that I leave for my 3 grandchildren.

I have it on my heart to create a space to talk about how grandmothers in particular can share the gospel with their grandchildren. I am thinking about starting a subscription box for Christian grandmothers- this article gave me lots of ideas.

Thank you both for sharing. 🙏🏼

I appreciate this heartfelt discussion about the legacy we leave. I believe that it's the WH questions prompted by our actions that truly matter, especially when they mirror genuine faith and teachings from The Bible. 🙏🏽🫶

You are so right, Chano. Thank you for reading and leaving your kind comment. We hope you have a blessed day!

“Teach us to number our days” your article wrapped around this verse, gave such great clarity to me about cherishing our time with our kids, knowing we are passing something on (intentionally or unintentionally). Just as time can pass without us knowing, so our lives with our children can pass too. Suddenly I feel brevity of my time with my children, in an encouraging way. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing, sister. Brooke and I wanted this piece to be a source of encouragement.

What an incredible read! So many thoughts and not enough space to write them.

Thank you both for this encouraging reminder and the challenging words.

Something I have noticed recently, and even considered, is the need to reach grandparents as well. My page is primarily for families discipling at home, but I’d love to write to the grandparent audience as well and help equip them in generational discipleship.

Thank you for reading and leaving your thoughtful, kind comments, Matt! All glory to God!

I am so blessed to be mentored by some godly grandfathers. They helped me see that as grandparents, we are called to leave a healthy legacy.
